Entrance examinations for the B.D. program are held in November, February, and March. Since the entrance examinations are given in Japanese, applicants must have sufficient Japanese proficiency, which should be demonstrated by passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test offered by the Japan Foundation with a score of “1” or “N1.” Also, one year of active membership in a local congregation is required.

Resident Scholars

　　　TUTS offers a one-year study program for students from foreign churches who are not seeking a degree.

◆ Conditions for Application

1. You are clergy of a Christian denomination.
2. You have sufficient Japanese language skills to study at TUTS.
   * To apply, you must pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test offered by the Japan Foundation with a score of “2” or “N2.”
3. Upon completion of study program, you should return immediately to your country to serve your church.

◆ Fees and Tuition

1. Application fee： 10,000 yen
2. Matriculation fee： 20,000 yen
3. Tuition： approx. 300,000 yen / year
   * No scholarship available.

◆ Application Deadlines

1. For September enrollment, applications must be submitted by June 1.
2. For April enrollment, applications must be submitted by January 1.
